us during lunch in the commons tomorrow if you want to find out more. We are

Good morning Carrboro
High School, my name is Quinton Adams . February is Black History Month.
Throughout this month, we will honor a new generation of black leaders and
black poets on the announcements. Each day, we will celebrate the legacy of
black Americans through either the reading of a poem or of a brief bio of an
inspirational black figure.
I, too, sing America.
I am the darker brother.
They send me to eat in
the kitchen
When company comes,
But I laugh,
And eat well,
And grow strong.
Tomorrow,
I’ll be at the table
When company comes.
Nobody’ll dare
Say to me,
“Eat in the kitchen,”
Then.
Besides,
They’ll see how
beautiful I am
And be ashamed—
I,
too, am America.
