Jagged Lines, the new CHS literary magazine, is currently accepting submissions for the spring issue. If you have short stories, poems, essays, photography, or visual art that you would like to see published, send it to CHSJaggedLines@gmail.com by April 2nd. Prizes will be awarded for Best Poem, Best Short Story, and Best Visual Art. Have you gotten your copy of the fall issue? If not, there are still copies available for purchase. Attention - Students who are interested in registering for the upcoming April 3rd Driver's Ed class.  Please see Ms. Lombardi in the CIC as soon as possible for your registration form.

Are you a good role model?  We are looking for Juniors or Seniors to represent the school in the following roles for the Mock Crash on 4/12:  1) MC for the assembly 3rd period 2) Slam poets or singers to perform 1-2 minutes between speakers on the topic of impaired driving and its consequences.  Please see Linda Karcher in Student Services ASAP or email lkarcher@chccs.k12.nc.us

Service Learning Opportunity: The Family Engagement team could use student helpers during our Parent Engagement Summit at Culbreth Middle School.


The date of the Summit is Saturday April 14th.  The times we would need some student help would be from about 8:00-10:00 am.  We might also need some additional help when the Summit ends, which is at 1:30.

The Peer Buddy and Special Olympics clubs have joined forces for the Spread the Word to End the Word campaign, an event to build awareness to stop and think about the use of the R-word in society. All of this week we will be in the commons during lunch we will be receiving signatures pledging that we will show respect to all of our students.  Wristbands, stickers and pens will be available!

The first-place winner will receive $750.00, Second Place: $500 and Third Place: $300.  Please get your application from the Main Office.

All of this week we will be in the commons during lunch we will be receiving signatures pledging that we will show respect to all of our students.  Wristbands, stickers and pens will be available!
