*CHS Theatre Department presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream November 3 - 5 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, November 6th at 2:30 PM.  Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for adults, and free for CHCCS Faculty and Staff.  Tickets may be purchased at seatyourself.biz/jagtheatre.

ALL NHS applications MUST be returned to Ms. Barkdolloni in TLC 1  BEFORE the end of school  this FRIDAY . Late applications WILL NOT be considered for membership.


Last Home Football Game of the Season tonight vs Jordan Matthews at 7:30pm; come out and celebrate our Senior Football Players, Cheerleaders and Pep Band.


Jaguar Cross Country Teams will run in the Regional Meet at Wake Med Park on Sat. Oct. 29…men will run at 9am and women at 9:30am.  Good luck! Support your Jaguars!



Jaguar Volleyball will host South Lenoir on Saturday Oct. 29 at 3pm.  Admission is $6.00.  Where is C-Town? We need your support!

The Peer Buddy program will have it’s official “Meet & Greet” social/event on today, Oct. 27th in E114 during A Lunch.  We will have a scavenger hunt for mentors to find their assigned peers/buddies.  We will also have some pizzas, chips, and drinks to kick off the program for the 2016-2017 school year.  All members and/or participants of the Peer Buddy program are expected/required to attend.

Jaguar Volleyball will host Croatan tonight at 6pm in the 2nd Round of the State Playoffs. Admission is $6.00. CHS athletic passed cannot be honored for playoff contests.  Support your Jaguars!

Last day to register for Winter Sports is on October 31, 2016.  Students interested in trying out must submit a current physical and concussion form to the Athletic Director prior to Monday October 31st.

Congratulations to Women’s Tennis, we defeated Edenton Holmes in the 1st round of the State Dual Team Tournament.


Congratulations to our Field Hockey Team, we defeated Reagan last night 1-0, moving on to the Final Four on November 2!

Makeup Picture Day is this Wednesday, October 26th.  Please make sure to have your picture taken if you have not already done so.  We are seeking 100% participation for the yearbook.  Freshmen who need a makeup or retake should report to the Gym during 1st period, all sophomores during 2nd, and all juniors during 3rd.  Seniors should be released at noon for a senior class photo in the Gym, and then report to the Auditorium for a meeting about graduation items.

This person is an English actor.
They are 77 years old.
They have been in the X-Men movies and Lord of the Rings movies.



If you think you know who it is please write your answer, your first and last name, and your grade on a sheet of paper and put it in the box marked LGBT+ History Month in the front office by lunch.  There will be a prize for today’s winner!

Fall Captains will be collecting for the Hurricane Matthew Relief Fund during lunch today and Friday.  All money donated will go to the schools in Eastern North Carolina devastated by the hurricane. Please help those in need!


All students interested in trying out for Winter Sports must register on 8to18, submit a current physical exam and concussion form BEFORE trying out.  See the Athletic Director if you have any questions.  Winter Sports begin on Oct. 31.

Meeting is Mandatory...Application packets WILL NOT be given to those that miss the meeting.
