The May Driver Ed class (May 1-17th, 5-8pm)  is open with limited spaces available.  Access the registration on the Carrboro homepage under Students - Driver Ed or www.JDSCarolinas.com.


The Senior Class Council is in charge of planning senior week this year. It's taking place the week of May 22-26. On Thursday the 25th, we have planned the Amazing Senior Race, which is a scavenger hunt with the idea that the seniors are "traveling through their years" at Carrboro. Deadline to sign up for the Amazing Senior Race is May 1st!

PROM ANNOUNCEMENTS AND INFORMATION:

Juniors and Seniors tickets prom tickets will be available for purchase Monday, April 10, 2023.  

Early Bird Price: April 3rd-April 28th, $40 for individuals / $70 for couples

Regular Price: May 1st-May 17th, $50 for individuals / $80 for couples

Payments can be made through the K12 payment center or cash/check by seeing a junior council member at lunch or visiting Ms. G during Real Talk and Flex Time (room E114)

Are you interested in earning volunteer hours and really like STEAM activities (Science, Teachnology, Engineering, Art, and Math)? Mary Scroggs Elementary School is holding our STEAM Night next week on Thursday, April 20 from 6:00-7:30 and we need high school volunteers who would be willing to help out with activities, set-up, and clean up. Jaguar Faculty, Staff and Students!!!! Here is your opportunity to show your school spirit all while helping our football program fundraising at the same time.  Please use the link below to order you or your family some JAGSWAG!  I want to get as many people in JagSwag gear as possible!!!  This is a 2 week campaign (ends on September 29th) and all orders will ship directly to the home of the buyer.  Before an order can be placed the customer has to enter a student/player name as that will help go towards their fundraising efforts.  Thank you in advance for your support and as always....Go Jags! Senior portrait retakes will be November 2, 2022 at CHS. This will be an Evolution session, so students can opt to take the formal yearbook portrait only (free) or pay the $25 sitting fee and have multiple settings/outfit changes. Lifetouch will send a direct mailing to students' homes, and students will sign up via the Lifetouch portal in that mailing. We will also publish that link once we have it. Seniors and parents may also purchase Yearbook Senior Recognition Ads. Information you need to purchase a senior ad is here.


Underclassmen picture retakes will be October 18.

FREE PHYSICAL EXAMS FOR SPORTS - UNC Family Medicine will be hosting a free physical exam night for CHCCS high school athletes on June 9th, 2022 from 5:30pm - 7:00pm. The 2022 Spring Awards Program will be held on May 31st at 4:30pm in the Gym. We will announce special awards, All-Conference/All-State/State Champions and Iron Jaguars in the Gym.  Immediately following the special awards, each sport will break out for individual team awards and distribute letters/pins to Varsity Athletes.



The Jaguar Athletic Department is looking for a student photographer for the 2022-23 school year to assist in social media production. The candidate must have a high resolution camera (no cell phone camera) and be available to take action photos as well as portrait shots. Contact Coach Ross for more information.

If you are interested in taking Dual Enrollment classes with Durham Tech CCP in the fall, you must attend a required information session.  To prepare our students for success, those interested in the Career and College Promise program must attend an information session. During a session, students can learn about program requirements, plans of study, and apply for admission. All sessions are held virtually and usually last an hour. Please register at https://www.durhamtech.edu/dual-enrollment for Tuesday, May 24, 5:30 pm. This is the last session.

NEW PROGRAM AT CHS: Community Spanish Interpreter - Public Service Certificate is a new program at CHS beginning the 2022-2023 school year. The class will meet five days per week from 7:30 AM - 8:20 AM. Four days will be virtual and one day will be face-to-face at Carrboro High School.


Carrborobotics Team 7763 will hold an interest meeting for the 2022-2023 season on Thursday, 5/26, during Flex Time in room D114. If interested, sign up via Edficiency. Look for session Robotics Team 7763 Interest Meeting.

Girl Boss Club is currently holding a fundraiser for the Women's Center, all donations placed in the boxes located in Real Talk rooms will go towards this. They will also establish the class standing in the small competition for a pizza party (given to whichever Real Talk raises the most money)
