Student Announcements for Friday, May 29th

Good morning!

The time is NOW! On Thursday, May 28, the CHS Rosetta Yearbook Staff will begin distributing yearbooks at lunch. Students will need to have some form of picture ID- permit, license, school, passport, etc.    What?  Is it too late to purchase a yearbook? NO! You too can have a book for $80!

Our Jaguar Women's Soccer Team is advancing to the NCHSAA 2A State Championship!   We need  the entire CHS community to come out and support our team on Saturday, May 30, 2:05 p.m. at North Carolina State University Daile Soccer Stadium at Derr Track.  We are so proud of our Jaguars!  Parking maps are located in the main office.  Admission is $8.00

The library will be closed for testing from 5/28-6/10. .  Students will not be able to print to the library during this time.  Students can print to the CIC.  The printer is called CIC_Lab.   Also, the color printer will not be available on these days during the school day.   Students can return books to the book drop located to the right of the front doors of the library. If you have fines please see Ms. Eleanor in the front office.

Come see One Song Production's Cyrano de Bergerac! Cyrano de Bergerac is a tale of love, which follows a big-nosed soldier/poet named Cyrano. One Song Productions is a student run theatre company that consists of members from the three CHCCS high schools;Cyrano is directed by Carrboro's own Nicole Gabriel! Cyrano de Bergerac runs at Common Ground Theater in Durham, May 28th-30th, at 7:30 PM. Reservations can be made at 1songproductions.org. We hope to see you there!

Registration for the summer classes of Driver Education  closes on June 2nd.  Registration forms can be found in Ms. Lombardi's office and you can download them online.  Registration is based on first come basis and oldest to youngest.  The summer classes are limited so make your summer plans for Driver's Education now!

"Come out and see Unnecessary Measures, the Sophistikeys, and the Downbeats at Carrboro's End of Year A Capella Jam! Come be serenaded by your favorite a capella groups as you destress from finals and the school year. The jam will be June 5th, at 7:30 PM, house opens at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $5. 100% of proceeds go towards Carrboro's Arts program. We hope to see you there!"

Student Announcements for Wednesday, May 27th

*Congratulations to our Jaguar Women's Soccer Team...We are advancing to the NCHSAA 2A State Championship on Sat. May 30...we defeated Dixon last night    1-0. We need  the entire CHS community to come out and support our team on Saturday at North Carolina State University. Match will be announce later today. We are so proud of our Jaguars!

Student Announcements for Tuesday, May 26th

The Dominican Republic Water Project fundraising so far has gotten us to $10,575 out of our goal of at least $15,000.  TONIGHT, May 26th (Tuesday) from 6pm to 8pm, we are hosting a Silent Auction & Mural Unveiling with an evening of Art, Music, Food and Fellowship.
