Student Announcements for Friday, May 15th

Attention All Seniors.......
I (Mrs. Brooks) need to know ASAP (if you have not already told me) if you are unable to attend the senior assembly rehearsal, the senior assembly or graduation.  The assembly is MANDATORY for anyone that plans on attending the graduation ceremony at the Dean Smith Center in June.  It's possible a student may have to miss the assembly rehearsal or even the assembly due to an AP make-up exam.  I need to know this info ASAP.  I am working on the seating chart for our assembly next week and it needs to be accurate before the rehearsal begins.  Please come see me if you have a conflict that can not be re-scheduled due to unavoidable reasons.  Also,  the gown and purple stole must be worn during the assembly next week (not the cap/tassel).  Please make sure you have this attire.  The full unit, (cap, gown, stole and tassel) will be worn at graduation.  If you are borrowing a gown from someone you still MUST have the 2015 tassel.  If you have not yet purchased this I have extras in the CIC.  $10.50 cash or money order payable to Herff Jones.   All Senior Fee's need to be paid before the Assembly next week.  There are still 60 + Seniors that have not paid their fee.  Please see Mrs. Brooks or Betty Wooten if you have any questions or concerns.  Thank you!

We are doing a campaign "Spread the Word to End the Word".
The "R" word is "retard" when it's used to insult others.
When it's used as an insult, it hurts our feelings.
People with Intellectual Disabilities are as important as anyone else.
Please accept the pledge of the r-word.
Go on the internet to take the pledge.  It takes less than a minute!
Click on the orange "Pledge and be Heard" box.
We hope you take the pledge and never say the R-word again!
