Good morning! 




Congratulation to Lucia Romano for winning this weeks drawing of Jaguire Justice! Please see Ms. Deeds for you prize.


1)  Carrboro Women's Basketball Team will travel to Croatan on Tuesday Feb. 23 for the 1st Round of the State Playoffs, Good Luck Jags!

2) Online Registration for Spring Sports will closed on Monday Feb. 29.   Some sports rosters have been finalized.

Attention Juniors and Seniors! Cinderella’s Closet of the Triangle provides formal wear to high school girls who could not otherwise attend their prom.  If this is you please see Ms. Crider for an application and get ready to pick out the perfect dress, shoes and jewelry!  Deadline for applications is March 7th.





Interested in going to the Dominican Republic after school is out in June? There will be a great cultural exchange and you will have a chance to connect with the community that CHS fundraised last year for the Water Project and the province where the Muralist are from.

February is Black History Month. Throughout this month, we will honor a new generation of black leaders and black poets on the announcements. Each day, we will celebrate the legacy of black Americans through either the reading of a poem or of a brief bio of an inspirational black figure. 

Stokely Carmichael
Born on June 29, 1941, Stokely Carmichael was a civil rights activist. He was a member and on the chairman on the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee working with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Later on in his life he left SNCC to become the prime minister of the militant Black Panther Party.
