Thinking about traveling to Nicaragua with us this summer? It is not too late to sign up but it is getting close. Many of you have expressed interest so don’t wait till the last moment to decide because in a few more days there may not be room for you. 15 people have committed to go and at least 5 more say they want to go but you must register and get some money in your account before your spot is secured! See Mr. Klakovich at lunch in room D214 TODAY!

Interested in going to the Dominican Republic after school is out in June? There will be a great cultural exchange and you will have a chance to connect with the community that CHS fundraised last year for the Water Project and the province where the Muralist are from.
For any questions, please contact Mr. Hite jhite@chccs.k12.nc.us

There will be a documentary screening on Feb 18th at Carrboro HS in celebration of Black History Month. "PRINCE AMONG SLAVES"

Good morning Carrboro High School, my name is JahNea Darby. February is Black History Month. Throughout this month, we will honor a new generation of black leaders and black poets on the announcements. Each day, we will celebrate the legacy of black Americans through either the reading of a poem or of a brief bio of an inspirational black figure.

Cornel West

Cornel West is one of the most influential black speakers, activists, and thinkers of our time. He was the first African American ever to earn a PhD from Princeton University in Philosophy. West is a frequent commentator for news outlets and an expert in African American studies, Marxism, and transcendentalism.
