Student Announcements for Thursday, Oct. 29th

Good morning,


All Latin and mythology students should be in the library NOW to present the Underworld.


Just a reminder that we are selling CHS Team Jerseys again! You can pick up an order form in the Main Office. The deadline is November 11th, so be sure to place your order soon!


Are you an up and coming DJ or know someone who is?   We are looking for you!  Carrboro High is searching for a young DJ who is interested in DJing during the Jaguar's varsity home basketball games.  This is a great way to start DJing, gain experience, pack the house, get exposure and attend the Carrboro Jaguar's home basketball games for free!  For more information or to inquire about this position, please contact Coach Dillard-Clanton.


Men's basketball tryouts will go from November 2nd, 2015 to November 4th, 2015.  Time is from 6:15 pm to 8:15 pm.  To participate students must have passed at least 5 class last semester and have at least a GPA of 2.0.  If you transferred in from a school on block schedule you have passed at least 3 classes and have a GPA of at least 2.0 last semester. Students must also have an up to date sports physical on file and have registered in carrboro 8to18.  If you have questions please see Coach Alcox.


Writing coaches will be available in the library during A & B lunch on Friday.  Please sign up in the library.

There will be a swimming & diving interest meeting today at 4 pm in Room E122.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Schrader.

Girl's Basketball tryouts!  November 2nd, 3rd & 4th from 4:15 - 6:15 p.m.  at Lincoln Gym, Lincoln Center, 750 Merritt Mill Road, Carrboro, NC.  Transportation will be provided there but parents must pick students up from Lincoln Center @ 6:15 p.m.   Please see Coach Dillard-Clanton if you have questions.

The director of Global Student Embassy will be here tomorrow to facilitate a discussion about youth leadership at CHS and abroad. Come and get involved! Bring your lunch to D214 tomorrow.




For those interested in going to Nicaragua, there is an important meeting for your parents tonight, 6pm in D214. Students are welcome as well.
