Student Announcements for Wednesday, Oct. 21st

Good morning


Faculty:  Today, Oct. 21st is ESL signing day please come by the conference room next to Mr. Hopkins office during planning to sign off on classroom modifications for ESL students.


Girl's Basketball interest meeting today,  Wednesday, October 21 in Room D112 during A Lunch.  Girl's Basketball tryouts will be held on November 2nd, 3rd & 4th from 4:15-6:15 p.m.  Make sure to register at carrboro.8to18.com and have an updated physical.  


Any student who wants to participate in the October 26th session of Driver's Ed should see Ms. Lombardi in CIC as soon as possible.


The chemistry club will meet in D224 this Thursday for A and B lunch. UNC chemistry students will be here to discuss careers in chemistry, do cool chemistry demonstrations and just talk about chemistry.


Were you thinking about going on the service learning trip to Nicaragua but couldn’t make last week’s meeting? We are having a second meeting this Friday, “A” lunch in D214. We just found out that as part of the trip, students will spend 2 nights with a Nicaraguan family. What an awesome experience that will be. We still have some spots open so don’t miss Friday’s meeting.



There will be a SkillsUSA meeting Friday, Oct. 23 during B Lunch in room D-115.  New members are welcome.  Membership is $14.00.  Please see Ms. Landis or Maley Wagner for membership applications.


SUPPORT A MUSICIAN!  Pancake Brunch and continuous live music - Saturday, October 24, 2014 - 11 am to 1 pm in the Cafe Commons.  Students $3 ($2.50 in advance); adults $5.



Winter Sports begin November 2.  In order to try out, students must be registered by their parents on 8to18, meet all NCHSAA requirements and submit a current physical to the Athletic Director.


SENIORS - Important Announcement:  Please mark your calendars for November 2nd at 12:00 Noon for your group senior photograph followed by a presentation from Herff Jones in the CHS Gym.  At that presentation you will receive your cap and gown packets for ordering graduation regalia.  We will have closed campus for seniors that day, so please bring your lunch or make arrangements.  See Dr. Wooten if you have questions.
