Student Announcements for Friday, Oct. 23rd

Good morning


Thanks to all who came out to Yoga for a Cause Monday evening! So far, we have raised over $2400 for our CHS Family Wellness Fund in honor of Fred Lockwood and Bari Sholomon! The Tennis Team won our team challenge and Special Services won our department challenge. Thanks for coming out and supporting our special cause!

Are you an up and coming DJ or know someone who?  Are you or someone you know in the school or area or just trying to get some experience under your belt?We are looking for you!  Carrboro High is searching for a young DJ who is interested in DJing during the Jaguar’s varsity home basketball games.  This is a great way to start DJing, gain experience,pack the house, get exposure, and attend the Carrboro Jaguars’ home basketball games for free!  For more information or to inquire about this position please see Coach Dillard-Clanton.


Any student who wants to participate in the October 26th session of Driver's Ed should see Ms. Lombardi in CIC as soon as possible.


Do you want to travel to Nicaragua but missed the meeting last week? You are in luck! There will be another general interest meeting in room D214 during “A”lunch today. The trip is filling up fast!



There will be a SkillsUSA meeting Friday, Oct. 23 during B Lunch in room D-115.  New members are welcome.  Membership is $14.00.  Please see Ms. Landis or Maley Wagner for membership applications.

North Carolina Central University’s Homecoming Day with the Eagles
Monday, October 26, 2015, 8:30am-1:30pm.
Lunch and Prizes will be provided.  All grade levels are welcome, Seniors can complete an application with Admissions, fees waived.  Students must provide their own transportation.
Note:  Students who are planning to attend must pick up, complete and return to the CHS Main Office an Educational Opportunity form.


Winter Sports begin November 2.  In order to try out, students must be registered by their parents on 8to18, meet all NCHSAA requirements and submit a current physical to the Athletic Director.
