Student Announcements: April 9, 2019

Congratulations to the CHS Quizbowl team for finishing 2nd at the UNC Tarheel Cup this past weekend!


Looking for a class to add to your course registration?  Take a Theatre, Technical Theatre course, or Honors Global Cinema and Filmmaking.  Sign up for a course when you register, and speak with Ms. Stegall in C114 if you have questions.  There's a place for everyone!


Lost & Found is set up in the Commons.  Claim it if it's yours! Remaining items will be donated on Wednesday afternoon.


Remember to bring any books you'd like to donate to your English classroom (or respective box in the library for staff and those who do not have an English class) to support Books on Break! The class with the most books donated will win RISE donuts! If there are any questions click HERE for the directions or email us at readchs@gmail.com. The final day to bring books is Friday!


The following students won a prize from yesterday's Mental Health Awareness Fair raffle: Patrick Moore, Olivia Hall, Thomas Norman and Ella Terry. Please stop by the CIC to pick up your prize.


NATIONAL SCHOOL LIBRARY WEEK IS HERE! Appreciate and celebrate the resources, research expertise, and the promotion of literacy in your school library. Make sure to thank your Librarian and our dynamic Library Assistant all week long! Expect contests and prizes all week long! Congratulations to Christian Espinoza and Delaney Pierce for being the winners of Monday's National Library Week contest!! Please stop by the Media Center to claim your prizes!  Today kicks off our Selfie with Your Library Staff Twitter contest. Snap a selfie and tweet your picture @CarrboroHSL with the #NationalLibraryWeek.


On Wednesday, the Media Center will continues its celebration of National Library Week with Window Paint and a Resource Rodeo.  Thursday - join us in the Media Center for our Big Book Giveaway and Library Trivia! Friday, we will wrap up our celebration with Fine Free Friday and our annual Edible Books Competition! Turn in any overdue books and get your fines waived! Bring in your best food creations to represent your favorite book. Vote for the best creations and top prizes will be awarded!
