Blue Ribbon Youth Leadership Institute will have a meeting today during lunch in D217 with a guest speaker talking about how to make applying to college easier!

Congratulations to the Men's Basketball Team! We defeated Nash Cnetral last night in the 1st Round of the Playoffs, 74-50. We play Thursday Night at Goldsboro, time is TBA. Congrats Jags!

Student Announcements: February 26, 2019

We're wrapping up CTE month with a focus on the fashion design program and to help celebrate, UNC's beloved mascot, Rameses, will visit school during lunch TODAY. All students and staff are invited to meet him outside the commons. He will be ready for photos and head scratches beginning as soon as the lunch bell rings at 12:28. Rameses is a fiber-producing animal whose wool can be used to make textiles and other fiber-related goods. Come by to see a real example of where your clothes come from. Wool is one of the most widely used fibers in the fashion industry, and Rameses is looking forward to showing off his fluffy self! We will also have a textile-related activity available to anyone who needs a creativity break. We hope to see you there!

The Coy Maddry Memorial Scholarship applications are available from Coach Ross.  Deadline is May 1. This is a faith based scholarship of $1000. 41 scholarships will be given out to student athletes in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools.

Blue Ribbon is hosting a Know Your Rights workshop event this Saturday at Carrboro High from 10am-2pm. This is a great opportunity to know your rights when interacting with law enforcement. "Blue Ribbon will host a Latino College Night this Wednesday, February 20th at 6:00pm in the Slant Room. Learn about applying to college, Residency Determination Status (RDS), FAFSA, and more. Information will be presented in Spanish. This event is free and open to parents and students in all grade levels

These Adobe Visual Design students have earned their Adobe certification for Adobe Illustrator.


Today during lunch the Boys and Girls Group will have a display of African American historians in front of the library. Please come by and check out the display.

You don't need to audition to join Concert Choir, but students interested in earning Honors Credit for being in chorus will need to audition this week. Due to a crazy month of January, Winterlinks has been extended for the month of February. Please continue to help SGA and their partnership with Dixon High school to help with Hurricane Florence relief. The current standings are First Place: Dr. T, Second Place: Captain K, and Third Place: Mr Severance.
