Athletic Playoff Update

Women's Tennis

Jaguar Women's Tennis lost to NCSSM yesterday 5-1 .  The team had a great season with many accomplishments.  Congratulations to our Jags and Coaches!

Athletic Playoff Update

Women's Tennis;

Weather cancelled the match yesterday so we are going back to Durham to face NCSSM again at 5pm.  Some of the matches are in progressed so...right now it is extremely tight...too close to call.  Keep going, Jags!

Men's Soccer

Jaguar Soccer defeated North Brunswick last night 6-1...we play home Friday Oct. 31 at 6:00pm vs North Lenoir.  Go Jags!

Football at Graham tomorrow night...Good Luck, Jags!

Donate to the Key Club's food drive to benefit the local SECU family house! Items on their wishlist include grab n' go snacks and and individual servings of fruit. Give donations to a Key Club member or bring them to E220!



Students please remind your parents of the PTSA  Supply Drive.  Items can be dropped off a the main office on Friday and Monday mornings.

  • Swim practice - M-F  5:30pm-7:00pm
  • Chapel Hill Community Center pool (120 South Estes Dr.) 
  • 4 practices required per week
  • Athletes responsible for own transportation to practice

Winter Sports begin TODAY, Oct. 29.  To participate or try out, a student must register online, submit a current physical exam to the Athletic Office, pass five subjects from last Spring semester, have a 2.0 GPA from last Spring semester and meet all eligibility requirements of the NCHSAA.

Athletic Playoff Update

Congratulations to Meghan McPeak, she shot a 85 yesterday and with a combined score of 176... she tied for 10th in the 2A State Golf Championship. Super Job, Meghan!

Congrats to the Jaguar Field Hockey team defeating Jordan yesterday 3-1...great team victory. Next opponent is West Forsyth ...next round is TBD.

Our Jaguar Volleyball lost to South Granville last night 3-1...congrats on a great season with a final record of 27-2...Runner-up Regional Championship. Congrats to our players and Coaches!  Fun season!

Today's Contests:

Women's tennis will travel to NCSSM for the 2A Regional Championship in Dual Team Tennis. Match time is 4pm.  Dismissal at 2:45. Winner advances to the State Championship on Sat. Nov. 1.  Good Luck!

Men's Soccer:  We will host North Brunswick today at 6:00pm in men's soccer.  1st Round of the State Playoffs  Good luck, Jags!

Jaguar Volleyball will host the 2A East Regional Championship on Tuesday Oct. 28 vs South Granville at 6:00pm.  Your Jaguars are 27-1.  Admission is $7.00
Jaguar Field Hockey will host Jordan in the 1st Round of the State Playoffs on Tuesday Oct. 28 vs Jordan at 5:00pm.  Admission is $5.00
Jaguar Tennis defeated Dixon 5-0 and advanced to the Regional Championship on Wednesday TBD

Researchers from UNC Chapel Hill are teaming up with Chartwells, the company that serves lunch here at Carrboro, to learn what you think of school lunch.  
WHETHER OR NOT YOU NORMALLY BUY SCHOOL LUNCH, THEY WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. 
UNC Chapel Hill is conducting surveys here at Carrboro during the lunch period this week.  These surveys are simple and take about 5 minutes to complete.  Completing a survey is entirely voluntary and confidential.  Everyone who completes a survey will be entered into a drawing to win one of ten $25 Amazon gift cards.

Athletic Playoff Update

Jaguar Women's Tennis defeated Dixon 5-0 and advanced to the Regional Championship match on Wed. Oct. 29  Opponent TBD Congrats!

Meghan McPeak shot a 91 today (in the top 15-20) and will play tomorrow in the second round of the 2A State Championship...Good Luck Meghan!

Jaguar Sports

Women's Tennis:

Abby and Olivia lost in the second round of the 2A Doubles State Championship on Friday.

Jesse won Friday and her 3rd round match Sat to compete in the Finals of the 2A Singles Championship.  She battled hard but lost 6-3, 6-0 to Kayla Honeycutt, a tough opponent from Salisbury.

We will host Dixon today for the 3rd Round of the Dual Team Championship at 3:00pm.  

Cross Country:

Jaguar Women won the 2A Mideast Regional Championship on Sat.; Jaguar Men placed 3rd.  Both teams will compete in the 2A State Championship on Sat Nov. 1 at Ivy M. Redmon Park in Kernersville. 2A Men at 10:30am & 2A Women at 11:00am.  If you have never been to aXC State Championship, you are in for a treat...it is one of the most exhilarating competitions to witness!

Volleyball:

Jaguar Volleyball defeated South Columbus Sat. Night, 25-11, 25-18 & 25-15. We will host South Granville on Tuesday Oct. 28th at 6pm. This is the 2A Regional Championship. Winner goes to the State Championship! We are currently 27-1.

Women's Golf:

Meghan McPeak will be competing Monday and Tuesday at 2A State Championship.  Go Meghan!!! Birdie, Birdie, Birdie!

Field Hockey & Soccer playoff brackets come out this week.

Football has two regular season games remaining.

The Jaguars are playing awesome!

The Key Club is holding a food drive to benefit the local SECU Family House! Please bring in any canned or boxed food and household items at lunch over the next two weeks! There will be a box outside the library to collect donated items.


All AIS students (9-12) will meet during lunch on Friday in the band room to discuss upcoming activities.  Please bring your lunch!


There will be a DECA Meeting during Lunch A on Friday, October 25th. We will discuss the election of officers, Virtual Business Challenges, and the upcoming field trip to UNC’s Kenan Flagler Business School.
