CHS is partnering with East and Chapel Hill for the 2017 Dance Marathon! Join us on February 18th, from 6 to 12PM at East Chapel Hill High for an awesome, non-stop night of dancing, food, and activities. Tickets are starting at $25 but will go up every week, so make sure you buy your tickets ASAP! Tickets will be sold in the front of the Library. Complementary food, games, and a Dance Marathon T-shirt are included with the purchase of your ticket.

The Freshman Class Council is looking for a talented freshman to design our Class of 2020 t-shirts. If you are interested in creating a design, please email Taylor Gwynne for more information.

If you're looking for after-school homework help, Blue Ribbon Mentor-Advocate is offering tutoring on Tuesday nights from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at Hargraves Community Center. Good morning,

Congratulations to our Jaguar Wrestling Team! 2017 Mid-State Conference Champs! We dominated the tournament with 12 out of 14 All-Conference Champions.

Home Basketball game on Tuesday Jan. 31 vs Jordan Matthews.  It's Senior Night.  Come and out and support your Jaguars!

Congratulations to Miah Araba, Laura Sparling and Natasha Turner. All three will sign College Letters of Intent at 12:15pm in the Media Center on Wed. Feb. 1. Go Jags!


CHS hosted and competed in the  NAQT Quiz Bowl Jamboree this past Saturday!  Both our A & B Quiz Bowl teams were victorious overall!  Congratulate our Quiz Bowl members when you see them ~ excellent job hosting & performing!

Good morning,

Congratulations to our Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Teams, we won our 8th consecutive men's conference championship on Wednesday and our 4th consecutive women's championships.  Good luck at Regionals next Friday and Saturday.

All students interested in Spring Sports must submit a current physical exam, concussion form and have their parents register them online.  The DEADLINE is February 17 for the online registration. After the registration ends, the student will need to speak with the head coach.  Most teams will cut their roster by Wed. Feb. 15.

Seniors, in order to confirm your senior portrait in the yearbook, please make sure to come by the Blackbox, C114, during A or B Lunch today, Monday, January 23rd.  Lunch is the only available time to do this.  If you do not check in with Ms. Stegall, your photo will be chosen by the Lifetouch lab.  We will not be able to change the selection after today.  If you are a senior who never had a senior portrait taken, you should also come by the Blackbox during one of these lunches to correct the issue.

Auditions for CHS’s spring musical, “Cinderella,” are today from 4:00 - 7:00 PM in the Theater.  No experience is required to audition.  It is advised that participants memorize and perform a 1-minute monologue and 16 measures of music to sing a cappella.  Students should also dress for movement and bring a list of all conflicts from January - March.  Even if you don’t feel prepared, please show up.  We’d love to see you. Good morning,

Join us for the CHS Snowball 2017! The only school dance where ALL grade levels are invited! Enjoy an evening in a winter wonderland as you dance the night away with your friends. SGA will be selling tickets throughout the month of January (starting Monday 1/9) during lunch in the front of the library. Each ticket automatically signs you up for a raffle, and the winner of the raffle prize will be announced at the dance.

The second CHCCS Olympics event is dodgeball! Dodgeball will be played on January 14th from 1-4 pm. We need participants! If interested, please fill out this form: http://tinyurl.com/chsdodgeball


There will be an interest meeting for all students interested in joining backstage tech for the spring musical, “Cinderella,” today, Wednesday, January 4th during A-Lunch in the Blackbox (C-114).  No prior experience required, and service hours are available!  The tech sign-up is on your daily announcement email.

Auditions for CHS’s spring musical, “Cinderella,” will be next Monday or Tuesday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM in the Theater.  No experience is required to audition.  It is advised that participants memorize and perform a 1-minute monologue and 16 measures of music to sing a cappella.  Students should also dress for movement and bring a list of all conflicts from January - March.
