CHS is having the 2nd annual Yoga For A Cause Fundraiser June 1st 5:30-7:30pm. Bring $5, comfortable clothes, a yoga mat and a dish to share!" 

Jags let’s claim a victory down at Hickory. Be sure come out and support your CHS cheer team by dining in at Hickory Tavern on Thursday June 8th and submitting your receipt at check out.

CHS Rosetta Yearbook distribution will continue during lunch in the Blackbox (C114).  You should bring your ID.  You will only be allowed to pick up your book, and the only available pick-up time is lunch.


Students who would like to purchase a yearbook may bring $92 in cash to the Blackbox (C114) during lunch this week.  We will not accept checks at this point in time.  There is a limited supply of yearbooks, so make sure to buy early in the week.

Good morning,

The Peer Buddy Program is having its end of year party today in D122, Ms. Barry’s room.  All members of the program are invited and interested students are welcome.  Come join us for some pizza, chips, drinks, cake and/or dessert!

Carrboro High School is happy to continue the Peer Buddy program and is looking for mentors for the 2017-2018 academic year.  This program is designed to bring students together for support and friendship. Students will meet with their buddy once a week during lunch or another arranged time. Service learning hours will be given to all students who are participating in the Peer Buddy program.  Training will be provided for all students who wish to mentor and support a peer. The purpose of this program is to promote inclusion of all students. Peer Buddy Programs facilitate friendships, build leadership skills and promote acceptance, understanding and awareness of differences among students.
Students interested in the Peer Buddy Program can get an application from Mr. Makor in E114 and turn in applications by Friday, May 26th.

Women's Soccer will play home on Wed. May 17 vs First Flight, this is the 3rd Round of the Playoffs.  Come out and support your Jaguars!

Congratulations to the Jaguar Women's Soccer Team and Coaches! We defeated Dixon last night 2-1 to advance to the State Championship.  This is our third straight trip to the Finals.  Details on date and time will be shared later.  It will be played on the campus of NC State University this weekend. We are proud of your gutsy and determined effort last night! Go Jags!

Students will be stationed with their posters to answer questions and elaborate on their research.  We will also have QR codes to provide feedback to the students on their work. Please visit your app store to download a free QR code reader to your smartphone or tablet prior to the event.

Congratulations to our State Track Athletes!  Quinton Adams placed 2nd in the 200 and 400. Our men's 4x400 relay placed second.  Men's Track finished 5th overall.

Congratulations to our Women's Soccer Team! We defeated Southwest Onslow Sat. 1-0.  We will host the Regional Finals vs Dixon on Tuesday May 23 at 6:00pm.  Admission is $7.00pm. Come out and support your Jaguars! Remember: "The Bigger the Dream, The More Important the TEAM"

Good morning,

Congratulations to Andre Jovan and Jason Wykoff on their outstanding performance at the State Tennis Tournament.  We lost a three set match to Brevard in the Championship Finals.

Congratulations to the Women's Soccer team, we defeated Bartlett Yancey 8-0 advancing to the 3rd Round vs First Flight on Wed. May 17. Home match 6pm. Admission is $6.

Congratulations to the Men's Track Team, Regional Champions!  Quinton Adams and Jack Clemens won double events on Sat.  Congrats to the Women's Track Team for their performance. Several members made States!

Congratulations to the Men's Lacrosse Team for an outstanding season. We lost to Cedar Ridge 10-5 on Friday in the 3rd round.

Come out and see the final show at CHS this year...for the school’s 10th anniversary the Theatre IV class has put together a review of shows from the past ten years...this features 10 scenes and 10 songs from the 20 shows performed in Carrboro's history. Tickets are, as usual, $5 for students, $10 for adults, and free for faculty. The show dates are the 19th, 20th, 21st of May, we look forward to seeing you there!

The Carrboro High School Academy of International Studies would like to invite you to attend the 9th Grade' Spring Research Poster Presentations on May 17, 2017, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. This is a floating event, so please join us at your convenience.
Students will be stationed with their posters to answer questions and elaborate on their research.  We will also have QR codes to provide feedback to the students on their work. Please visit your app store to download a free QR code reader to your smartphone or tablet prior to the event.

Peer Buddy Program interest meeting is on May 16th during lunch.  Carrboro High School is happy to continue the Peer Buddy program and is looking for mentors for the 2017-2018 academic year.  This program is designed to bring students together for support and friendship. Students will meet with their buddy once a week during lunch or another arranged time. Service learning hours will be given to all students who are participating in the Peer Buddy program.  Training will be provided for all students who wish to mentor and support a peer. The purpose of this program is to promote inclusion of all students. Peer Buddy Programs facilitate friendships, build leadership skills and promote acceptance, understanding and awareness of differences among students.
If you are interested in having a buddy or being a buddy, you can get an application from Mr. Makor in E114.
