Student Announcements: April 10, 2019

Application for the National Honor Society is now open to all eligible students. You must be a current or rising Junior with a weighted GPA of 3.8 and have 60 Service Learning hours. Please note that having those two requirements does not guarantee admission. Download an application here and submit to Ms. Barkdolloni in TLC1 before 4 pm on April 12.


Lost & Found is set up in the Commons.  Claim it if it's yours! Remaining items will be donated this afternoon.


Looking for a class to add to your course registration?  Take a Theatre, Technical Theatre course, or Honors Global Cinema and Filmmaking.  Sign up for a course when you register, and speak with Ms. Stegall in C114 if you have questions.  There's a place for everyone!


Remember to bring any books you'd like to donate to your English classroom (or respective box in the library for staff and those who do not have an English class) to support Books on Break! The class with the most books donated will win RISE donuts! If there are any questions click HERE for the directions or email us at readchs@gmail.com. The final day to bring books is Friday!


NATIONAL SCHOOL LIBRARY WEEK IS HERE! Appreciate and celebrate the resources, research expertise, and the promotion of literacy in your school library. Make sure to thank your Librarian and our dynamic Library Assistant all week long! Stop by the Media Center to participate in contests and claim prizes!  Join us today at lunch for Window Painting and our Resource Rodeo. Pick up swag from library vendors and find out what resources you can utilize in your CHS Media Center!

Join us tomorrow in the Media Center for our Big Book Giveaway and Library Trivia!

Friday, we will wrap up our celebration with Fine Free Friday and our annual Edible Books Competition! Turn in any overdue books and get your fines waived! Bring in your best food creations to represent your favorite book. Voting will take place at lunch for the best creations and top prizes will be awarded!


Are you the best of the best? Elevate your school spirit and athleticism by participating in cheerleading. There will be an interest meeting on April 17th in room D121 during lunch. The ASVAB will be given at East Chapel Hill High on April 24 at 9am in the Media Center. Register by April 19 to take the test http://bit.ly/2V9OymY.
