Today is the last day to purchase prom tickets. Tickets are $50 per person. You can purchase tickets online OR in person during lunch. If the cost of a ticket would prevent you from attending prom, see April Crider in the CIC for information about reduced ticket prices.

Have old books you'd like to donate? To win RISE donuts for your English class, bring those books and deposit them into the box in your English teacher's room starting Monday, April 8th for that week only. The class with the most books donated by Friday will win donuts! Representative, non-English, or nonfiction books for grades K-5 are preferred but absolutely any book in decent condition, whatever genre or age group, will be accepted and used to benefit Books on Break. Make sure to record your contribution on the sheet by the box for a chance to win.

Our Book Madness competition has ended in the Media Center and the winner is The Hate U Give! This book beat out 32 other books as our most popular book for the 2018-2019 school year.  Our bracket winners include our 1st place winner, Yvette Berner, with tied second place winners, Matteo Salinas and Ana Garcia, and finally our 3rd place bracket winner was TeAnnah Riggsbee.  Please stop by the Media Center to claim your prizes if you haven't already done so.

Get ready Jaguar nation! Next week is NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK! Beginning on Monday, the Media Center will begin hosting an action pack week full of fun and prizes to celebrate the value of our school media center.  Monday kicks off National Library Week with a Library Walk! Give your input and tell us what will make our library even better! Tuesday is Selfie with your Library Staff! There will be a social media contest on Twitter to post and tag our CHS Media Center.  Listen up all week long to hear about all the great events happening next week and don't forget to stop by the Media Center to thank our library staff for the hard work they do serving you!

Application for the National Honor Society is now open to all eligible students. You must be a current or rising Junior with a weighted GPA of 3.8 and have 60 Service Learning hours. Please note that having those two requirements does not guarantee admission. Download an application here and submit to Ms. Barkdolloni in TLC1 before 4 pm on April 12.

Looking for a class to add to your course registration?  Take a Theatre, Technical Theatre course, or Honors Global Cinema and Filmmaking.  Sign up for a course when you register, and speak with Ms. Stegall in C114 if you have questions.  There's a place for everyone!
