Student Announcements: November 8, 2019

Carrboro High School's annual CultureFest is coming up! This year's event will be held on Thursday, November 14th from 6:00pm-8:00pm, so mark your calendars now! More information is available on our school website!


The Annual PowderPuff football game will be held Tuesday November 12th on the Football field.  The Junior vs. Sophomore Class game starts at 5:30 and the Freshmen vs. Senior Class game starts at 6:15.  The Championship game will be held immediately afterwards. Please make plans to attend this exciting event and support your Class!


It's time to start working on your submissions for the CultureFest Film Showcase. Please submit a short 2-3 minute video about an international current event or a cultural feature. Submissions are due to Mr. Fernandez-Schendt TODAY. See the document linked in the email for more information or contact Mr. Fernandez-Schendt with questions.


Your story matters, Jags.  It's time for you to write it! Nanorimo (Na-no-ry-mo) is HERE!  The challenge is simple. During the month of November, the National Novel Writing Month continues with a challenge to write 50,000 words in 30 days.  Sign up online today and join the CHS Nanowrimoers in our quest to write a book!

NCTAP provides an apprenticeship program to prepare students for careers as mechanical engineer, machinist, and electricians. Students will be able to earn an Associate's Degree for free while working at a participating business. They are currently recruiting current juniors and seniors. An information session will be held on Tuesday, November 12 at 12:45 pm in the media center. Freshmen and sophomores may attend for future consideration. Please feel free to review www.nctap.org.

Jaguar Men's Soccer will host Thomasville in the 2nd Round of the State Playoffs on Saturday November 9 at 2:00pm. Admission is $7.00. Support your Jags!
