A representative from Salem College will be in the CIC on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 10:45 am. Sign up in the CIC if interested.


Calling all CHS Writers!  Sign up for (Na-no-wry-mo) NaNoWriMo, a month long challenge to write an entire novel in just 30 days!   Staff and Students are encouraged to sign up, set a daily word count goal, and WRITE, WRITE, WRITE all month long!!  Win prizes and sharpen your writing skills by participating in NaNoWriMo November! Sign up in the Media Center TODAY through Wed., Oct. 31st!


In the midst of voting season, CHS Theatre invites you to view Twelve Angry Jurors this Thursday, November 1st through Saturday, November 3rd at 7:30 PM.  Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for adults, and free for CHCCS Faculty/Staff.  They can be purchased at jagtheatre.seatyourself.biz.  Faculty/Staff can reserve 1 free ticket at tinyurl.com/chs12angryjurors.


It is with great excitement that we announce the date and details of our annual CultureFest. This year's event will be held on Thursday, November 29th from 6:00pm-8:00pm, so mark your calendars now! For those new to our school community or those who haven't participated before, this night is aimed at celebrating our school's diverse community and sharing parts of our culture with each other through food, discussion, and entertainment. The AIS Council is excited to also announce a new event coming to CHS this year! CultureFest 2018 will now feature the CultureFest Film Showcase. Students who may be interested in submitting an original short film about a current event or international issue should attend the interest meeting in the Blackbox, C114, at lunch tomorrow.  An interest form is attached in your announcements email: Film Showcase Interest Form. Today at lunch, students from UNC will be discussing their cutting edge research on cultivating seaweed to be used as an alternative to plastic. Come to room D214 to learn about their research and the opportunities at UNC that made their project possible.


There will be an interest meeting for a Challenge Day Club during lunch today.  Please grab your lunch and meet Ms. Crider in Student Services if you're interested
