Today is the last day for Book Olympics! If you are participating please come by the library to pick up your medal. Congratulations to all of our Book Olympians!


Coach Clanton and the Coaching Staff would like to apologize for not mentioning Ana Leigh's contributions and achievements on Monday during the award ceremony. If the team needed someone to come in and defend, Ana was the person coach could depend on. Ana is a first year letter winner. Thank you and congratulations - job well done from the Women's Basketball Coaching Staff.

The Epsilon Gamma Chapter of Sigma Pi Phi, is sponsoring a writing competition for male African American students in grades 9-11.  The purpose of the competition is to encourage writing and communication skills among African American males.  The first-place winner will receive $750.00, Second Place: $500 and Third Place: $300.  Please get your application from the Main Office.

Greensboro college offers a free online application, with a decision being made within just two weeks. The application is very short and should just take you about 20-30 minutes to complete. Also, all students will automatically be considered for merit scholarships at the time of acceptance without having to fill out an additional application. Our merit scholarships range from $5,000 to a full ride.

Want to earn $300? Planned Parenthood's "Teen Connections Program" is looking for you.  Attend 12 weekly sessions to learn about healthy relationships, consent, sexual health and preventing pregnancy between March and May.  Please see Ms. Crider for an application.  Applications due tomorrow

Black Hearts?  #38?  What?! The TRU Club hopes you noticed teachers wearing black heart stickers yesterday and maybe some today. They signify the average number of deaths DAILY in North Carolina due to tobacco related disease such as heart disease. This includes vaporizing and juul! Keep your heart healthy for those you love.


Men's Basketball Team will play Cummings HS in the Mid-State Conference Finals tonight at Cummings, 7:30pm. Admission is $7.00.   Come out and support your Jaguars, we need a crowd!

The Electives Fair is today!  The CTE, Arts, and World Language departments will be in the Library today for an afternoon of fun and learning  A Lunch through 6th period. There will be videos, games, presentations, and an overall great atmosphere that everyone will enjoy.  Plus see all of the great electives at Carrboro.

It's that time of year again! Valentine's Day is tomorrow, and Unnecessary Measures wants to help you serenade and embarrass your favorite teacher, staff member, or best friend! Buy a singing gram at the table outside of the library at lunch! One is song is $5 and each additional song is $2.

The CTE, Arts, and World Language departments at Carrboro High School are teaming up for an afternoon of fun and learning. On Thursday, February 15th, we will be holding an Electives Fair in the CHS Library commencing at "A Lunch" through 6th period. Remember, this is a Delayed Opening day so it will be held during lunch as well as 4th and 6th periods.  There will be videos, games, presentations, and an overall great atmosphere that everyone will enjoy. Spring Sports begin on February 14. Students who wish to try out for Spring Sports must register online before Feb. 13, submit a physical exam and a concussion form to Coach Ross. After you complete the three requirements, you must pick up a "Ticket To Play" form from Coach Ross in the Commons on the following dates: February 1, 2, 5, 6, 12, 13.  YOU cannot tryout without a Ticket to Play! Free Physicals on Feb. 13 from 5:30-7pm at UNC Orthopaedics 6011 Farrington Road Suite 201 Chapel Hill. You must bring a signed NCHSAA Physical Exam Form to be seen by a physician.


Valentine's Day is this week and Unnecessary Measures wants to help you serenade and embarrass your favorite teacher, staff member, or best friend! Buy a singing gram at the table outside of the library at lunch! One is song is $5 and each additional song is $2.


The CTE, Arts, and World Language departments at Carrboro High School are teaming up for an afternoon of fun and learning. On Thursday, February 15th, we will be holding an Electives Fair in the CHS Library commencing at "A Lunch" (12:10 PM) through 6th period. Remember, this is a Delayed Opening day so it will be held during lunch as well as 4th and 6th periods. We'll have videos, games, presentations, and an overall great atmosphere that everyone will enjoy. It is also that time of year where students are wondering what classes they should take next year. Attending the Electives Fair will allow students to get exposure to classes they may not otherwise be familiar with. Granting them this exposure will give them a better and more impactful experience at Carrboro. We would love for you and your students to find time in the afternoon to come and check out the Electives Fair as it will be an informative  experience that will be valuable to all students who attend. Student Announcements: February 9, 2018

Special Olympic volunteers are needed for a basketball scrimmage against Special Olympics athletes this Sunday night (the 11th) from 5 to 6:30 at the Community Center on Estes.  You DON'T need to be a good basketball player to come out.  The Special Olympic teams are looking forward to competing (& possibly winning!) against you!
