How would your loved ones react if you had an imaginary friend? Not just any imaginary friend, but a 6-foot tall rabbit? Carrboro High School’s November production of Mary Chase’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Harvey, poses this question. Set in the 1940s, this comedy, centers on eccentric Elwood P. Dowd. When Elwood’s friendship with Harvey begins to make life difficult for his family, his sister, Veta, attempts to fix the problem. Comical chaos ensues, and all characters must wrestle with their own realities. Keep an eye out for Harvey. After all, he’s rather difficult to miss!
