Student Announcements: December 17, 2019

Hey Jags!  It's Winter Holiday Spirit Week, sponsored by the Minority Student Union!  Tomorrow, dress up as your favorite holiday! Check the link in your email for more info!

 

Students interested in auditioning, teching, or playing in the pit orchestra for the CHS spring musical, The Drowsy Chaperone, should check the requirements and complete the online sign-up form found on tinyurl.com/jagtheatreauditions ASAP.  Auditions are today or tomorrow after school in the Theater.  All students are encouraged to participate. If you do not have materials prepared, they will be provided for you.  

 

Want to brighten the day of a pediatric cancer patient at UNC Children's Hospital??  Please donate a new unwrapped game to TAKEDOWN cancer by December 18th. There are drop boxes in the front office and library or you can deliver your donation to Karen Veltri in Room D121 or Coach Driscoll at wrestling practice after school.  

Mid-State Conference Home Wrestling Match tonight at 6pm vs Cummings, first 15 students who come to the match to cheer on the Jags gets a t-shirt! Admission is $5 and CHS Athletic Passes are honored for this event.

Seniors,  On December 20th during lunch, come by the band room to hear from our recent graduates about their post CHS experience.  This is a great opportunity to get real feedback from your peers of what to really expect after you graduate high school. Lunch will be provided by our PTSA.


You only have to donate $1 to plant one tree. Help #TeamTrees plant 20 million trees by 2020 by donating in the donation boxes found in the Spanish and French classrooms during breakfast and lunch. 


Don't forget to drop by E114 to see which local charity you want to support: TABLE, GiGi's Playhouse or Ronald McDonald house. The Marketing classes will be accepting donations until Friday, December 20. 


The Red Cross is hosting its annual winter blood drive. Please sign up to donate in front of the library at lunch or ask Megan Cubell for more information.
