Student Announcements: January 29, 2019

Did you know that Carrboro has its very own robotics team competing in the First Robotics national competition come March 8th? In order to compete and do well in competition team Carrboro Robotics needs one of you to drive the robot at a high level while under intense pressure. If you are interested in trying out come to Dr. Arthurs room today after school. It is the first day of open tryouts!

The Durham Tech rep will be here tomorrow. Email Ms. Coley (Lcoley@chccs.k12.nc.us) for an appointment.

February is CTE Month and to express the importance of our CTE programs here at CHS the CTE department has joined forces to celebrate the value of CTE and the achievements and accomplishments of our CTE programs and students. Each week in the month of February the CTE department will showcase one of its four program areas. Be sure to engage and support our CTE Month celebrations!

Please contact Mr. Hite if you are interested in going on a CHS exchange to the Dominican Republic in mid to late June 2019.  Here is info about what we have done in the past: https://sites.google.com/a/chccs.k12.nc.us/mr-hite-s-useful-links/dominican-republic-chs-exchange-trip

If interested, then please fill out the form after talking with parents/guardians:  https://goo.gl/forms/1Lb7cHk44jhHgiAb2

We want students of all economic means to be able to go, so may have to do some fundraising.
