Student Announcements: January 17, 2019

February is CTE Month and to express the importance of our CTE programs here at CHS the CTE department has joined forces to celebrate the value of CTE and the achievements and accomplishments of our CTE programs and students. Each week in the month of February the CTE department will showcase one of its four program areas. Be sure to engage and support our CTE Month celebrations!

It is that time of year again! The annual SGA Winterlinks Fundraiser is back. This year SGA is partnering with Dixon High School to donate to Hurricane Florence victims. From now until the end of January, you can donate money to help the cause in your fourth period classes. The class that has collected the most money will receive free Sunrise Biscuits!

Are you ready to dance away the winter blues? Friday January 25 will be the Carrboro High School's Winter formal here in the commons from 8-11. Tickets for Snowball are on sale today at lunch 1 for $15 or 2 for $20.

Blue Ribbon Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) will kick off its first meeting of 2019 today during lunch in D217! We will have a former YLI student as our guest speaker who will share their experience with YLI and how it helped prepare them for college and answer any questions students may have. Snacks will be provided

The Media Center will be closed TOMORROW due to AIS Capstone Presentations.  Please plan accordingly and be proactive in preparation. Thank you.

A representative from Durham Tech will be in the commons Friday during lunch.
