Student announcements - May 26, 2017

Good morning,

The Peer Buddy Program is having its end of year party today in D122, Ms. Barry’s room.  All members of the program are invited and interested students are welcome.  Come join us for some pizza, chips, drinks, cake and/or dessert!

Carrboro High School is happy to continue the Peer Buddy program and is looking for mentors for the 2017-2018 academic year.  This program is designed to bring students together for support and friendship. Students will meet with their buddy once a week during lunch or another arranged time. Service learning hours will be given to all students who are participating in the Peer Buddy program.  Training will be provided for all students who wish to mentor and support a peer. The purpose of this program is to promote inclusion of all students. Peer Buddy Programs facilitate friendships, build leadership skills and promote acceptance, understanding and awareness of differences among students.
Students interested in the Peer Buddy Program can get an application from Mr. Makor in E114 and turn in applications by Friday, May 26th.
