Cross-training Opportunity
Professional athletes use dance training all the time to enhance their strength, flexibility, conditioning, balance, coordination, and agility.  The CHS Theatre Department would like to offer a cross-training program for all CHS athletes.  Led by local choreographer and costumer, Katie Moorehead, participants will learn new warm-ups, stretches, exercises, and moves to assist on the field and court, in addition to the stage.  Drop in on any Tuesday and/or Thursday in December from 5:30 - 7:30 PM in the Black Box.  Currently, class are free for student athletes.  Email jagtheatre@gmail.com with interest and/or questions.
Flexibility in Scheduling
We've scheduled the classes from 5:30 - 7:30 to give current athletes more flexibility in their scheduling.  For instance if they don't start practice until 6:30, they can come to Dance for the Athlete until that time, and if they wrap practice at 6:30, they can come down to the Black Box for an hour of dance.
No Obligations!
There is no obligation for students to audition for shows.  We just want to open a different door for more students to get involved, while offering some new skill sets that might also help out on the court/field, etc.
