Student Announcements: March 5, 2020

All 9th-11th graders:  registration for next year's classes will be finalized this week.  If you have not submitted both forms of your course requests, online and paper, please do so immediately.  Paper forms should be returned to your counselor, going forward.

Looking for a class to add to your course registration?  Take a Theatre, Technical Theatre course, or Honors Global Cinema and Filmmaking.  Sign up for a course when you register, and speak with Ms. Stegall in C114 if you have questions.  There's a place for everyone!

You're invited to JagTheatre's Party Season!  "The Drowsy Chaperone" runs March 19th-21st at 7:30 PM.  Tickets are only $5 for students and $10 for adults and can be purchased at the link in your announcements.  Don't miss out on this upbeat musical within a comedy! @carrborohigh_theatre

Hi Carrboro Students. Are you interested in Journalism? Would you like to take a class that offers leadership roles, honors credit, and a real audience for your writing? The school newspaper, The Jagwire, is recruiting staff writers for next year. If you are interested in taking this class please contact Mr. Lourens or Jade Simpson. There will also be a link in your email to an interest form.

Today at lunch, a representative from the Town of Chapel Hill will be here to get YOUR ideas on how our community can be more sustainable. This is a great opportunity to get involved and get your voice heard!  Meet in Mr. Klakovich's room (D-214) during lunch today.

This is National Say Something Week! This is a reminder to Look for warning Signs, ACT immediately, and Say Something to a Trusted Adult if you see anything concerning in person or on social media. Look for a booth tomorrow  in the commons to get a free Say Something Bracelet!

Are you feeling lazy? Then come out to AYM's crash course on how to stay motivated. Come to D120 on Friday during lunch to hear UNC students' perspectives on what motivates them. There will be free pizza, and anyone is welcome.

The Smart Lunch subject today is Social Studies
