CHS has a Peer Buddy program! You will be able to sign up during
Jaguar Jump In! Service Learning Hours will be available. See Melissa
Barry or John Hite with any questions.
Athletic
Passes maybe picked up at the football game today. See Coach Ross.
There
will be a Carrboro wrestling interest meeting this Friday, September 8th in the
gym during A lunch.
Applications
for senator elections are due September 11th . 2 candidates from
12th,11th, and 10th grade and 3 candidates from 9th grade will be
elected. Forms can be found on the bulletin board by upper E stairs near
commons.
Club renewal/request
forms are due September 25th to Ms. Schrader in E122. Forms can be found on the
bulletin board by upper E stairs near commons. Please see any SGA member or
Mrs. Byrnes or Ms. Schrader if you have questions.
“Attention
all Jags! If you are interested in running for your class council President or
Vice President, there will be an interesting meeting in room D121_. Freshmen
will be during A lunch next Monday,
9/11;
Sophomores will be during B lunch next Monday, 9/11; and
Juniors will be during A lunch next Tuesday, 9/12. The
senior class council meeting is still to be determined. “
Come
make a card to support students and families affected by Hurricane Harvey from
Cypress Creek High School in Houston, Texas. A card station will be set
up in the Commons.
Seniors,
Please make sure that you pay attention to the urgent scholarship packet.
The packet will be emailed to your school email with dates and
instructions for each scholarship.
There
will be an interest meeting in the Blackbox (C114) during A Lunch today, for
anyone who is interested in working on Tech for the fall show, She Kills
Monsters. No experience required, and feel free to bring your lunch.
Picture
Day for all 9th, 10th, and 11th graders, as well as for Faculty/Staff, will be
next Tuesday, September 12th in the Gym. Students will come to the Gym
with their English class. Makeups for Senior portraits will be on
Tuesday, September 19th in the Theater. You should receive more
information via email and in the mail.
This
is a reminder that there will be a meeting today during A Lunch for all student
club and organization leaders in Room D212, to discuss how you can assist the
CHS community effort to assist our adopted school in Houston, Cypress
Creek.
There
are 3 college visits scheduled for next week.
Elon University is Monday, Sept. 11 at 10:45
University of Pennsylvania is Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 3:15
Pitzer College is Friday, Sept. 15 at 12:30
Students may sign up to attend the college representative visit
in the white notebook in the CIC.
