Student Announcements for Tuesday, Sept. 22nd

The College Fair is at the Dean E. Smith Center this Thursday at 6:308:30 PM

 
Seniors, stop by the commons today after school to register to vote.  
Only students who turn 18 by November 4, 2015 are eligible to register to vote!


"Free Math Tutoring is available in D116  during both lunch periods.  We have tutors for Math I, Math II, Math III, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, and AFM."

The library will be closed all day today.    We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Students can print to the CIC if needed.

Picture Day for Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors: 
The date for picture day is MONDAY SEPTEMBER 28TH. Please make it a priority to be there. 


Senior Portraits will be taken on FRIDAY OCTOBER 2ND. If you have not yet taken your Senior Portrait or need to have them retaken this will be the last date to be included in the yearbook. Please make it a priority to be there. 


BUY YOUR YEARBOOK!! Yearbooks are already on sale AND they are at the LOWEST prices of the year ($70). After September 30th prices will go up! You can purchase your yearbook at Jostens.


If you are interested in the Yoga club, find us on facebook “The Yoga Club”. We will post about classes and other topics of interest. You must sign a liability waiver in addition to participate (and a parent if you are under 18).  A form will be posted on our FB page and are available in Linda Karcher’s office in Student Services.



The after-school tutorial program begins this afternoon in the Media Center from 4pm-5pm. The program takes place Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, and we have Tutors for Math, Science, Social Studies, and Writing Coaches. Transportation within the district is provided for students who need it once the session ends.


Carrboro DECA will have its first meeting of the year Friday in Room E115 during SMART Lunch. Members may bring their lunch to the classroom, as we have a lot to cover. This meeting will set the tone for the school year. Students planning to join DECA may bring their $20 membership fee to the meeting to sign up


Student Government is holding a fundraiser at the Walk for Education and we need your stuffed animals!! Bring in your stuffed animals into the bin in front of the library by Monday, October 5th.



Our final interest meeting for the trip to Spain during Spring Break of this school year will be Wednesday Sept. 30 at 6:00 pm in E116.  If you have not attended a meeting, but are interested in traveling with us, this is your LAST CHANCE.  Our final sign up deadline is coming up fast!


Governor's School Meeting, Monday, Septembe 28th in the CIC during A Lunch.
Any sophomore or junior interested in the 2016 session of The North Carolina Governor’s School should attend this interest meeting. 
Governor’s School is a highly competitive 6 week long residential summer school that is funded by the state of North Carolina. Students who are selected are usually our finest students, artists or musicians. For Info:www.ncgovschool.org
