Congratulations to the 17 members of the CHS Math Club who participated in the College of Charleston Math Meet this past Saturday, February 22nd.  They competed against each other and 585 other students from GA, NC and SC in individual and team contests.  The students participating were

Amber Johnson
James Jushchuk
Marshall Lynn
Sam Parker

Rebecca Posner-Hess was our highest scorer in the individual competition at the 93rd percentile.  This means she scored higher than 93% of the other students she was competing with.  Way to go, Rebecca!

William Snoeyink was our highest scoring boy at the 85th percentile.  He scored higher than 85% of the students he was competing against.  Congratulations!

Special recognition also goes to the Junior Varsity Team of Margaret Hubacher, Henry Sawyer, Sabrina Sholomon, and Austin Wang who placed Second in the double-round JV Team Elimination Contest!
Many thanks also to the parents and teachers who served as drivers and chaperones to make this trip possible:  Loren Hintz, John Hite, Tanya Johnson, Thomas and Maria Lynn, and Benjamin Mulli.
It should also be noted that the senior co-leaders of the CHS Math Club, Amber Johnson and Carl Hintz, invested many hours and loads of energy in planning, coordinating and making this event possible for our club.  All our members are hugely grateful for their leadership.  They will be sorely missed next year!
