Carrboro High School Theatre presents our winter production, The Little Prince, this Friday and Saturday, January 29th - 30th at 7:30 PM, with a matinee on Sunday, January 31st at 2:30 PM in the CHS Auditorium.  Tickets can be purchased at seatyourself.biz/jagtheatre and are $5 for students, $10 for adults, and free for CHCCS faculty and staff.  The play is appropriate for all ages and will run close to an hour and a half.

SGA's Annual Winter Links fundraising campaign is under way!  Winter Links will run throughout the entirety of January and is an initiative to raise money for local charities and unite our school in giving back.  This year we will be collecting and raising money during 5th period classes and the funds raised will be used to support "Positive Impact for Kids" - an organization that was created by our very own Leanne Joyce.  Bring in your spare change and support your community Jaguars!

Interested in going to the Dominican Republic after school is out in June? There will be a great cultural exchange and you will have a chance to connect with the community that CHS fundraised last year for the Water Project and the province where the Muralist are from. For any questions, please contact Mr. Hite jhite@chccs.k12.nc.us

Model UN Opportunity @ Duke! - Our CHS Model UN club has an upcoming conference at Duke University that has a few open spots left that we are trying to fill. If you are unfamiliar with Model UN but are interested in global topics and politics/government, this would be a great opportunity to get your feet wet! This opportunity would include missing 1 day of school and would also have some financial cost to you. NON-club members have an opportunity to participate for only $40! You also would be working in pairs -- so it would be very low-pressure :) Here is a link to the schedule for the conference! If you are even a little interested let Mr. Schendt know! We are having a meeting tomorrow during A-lunch in my room as well, so feel free to stop by!
