Student Announcements: October 17, 2017

A Mandatory Mentor Training for our Peer Buddy Program will be tomorrow Wednesday, October 18 during B lunch in room D122.  If you did not attend Friday’s training you need to come to this meeting to become a Mentor.  See your email (this form) for more information & to print out your forms.  

The Yoga Club will meet TODAY at lunch outside the C-Wing doors!  Mats provided. Namaste

Carrboro High School Theatre presents our fall play, “She Kills Monsters,” October 26th through 28th at 7:30 PM.  Tickets can be purchased at seatyourself.biz/jagtheatre and are $5 for students, $10 for adults, and free for CHCCS Faculty/Staff.  This action-packed dramatic comedy is filled with stage combat and is rated PG-13 for language and mature themes.

C-town shirts are now on sale, 2 for $30, buy your shirt at lunch today!

Come cheer on your class at the Powderpuff game on November 9th at 6 pm! Tickets are $5, but if you buy your class Powderpuff shirt and wear it to the game, admission is $3. All proceeds will be used to fund prom 2019. This event is sponsored by Al's Burger Shack, Zinn Brothers, Jennings and Company, and Rise Donuts.
  
This Wednesday is “Lunch with the Principal,” a time for students to ask Mrs. Rudolph  questions, and offer concern  and/or new ideas.  It starts at 12:30 Wednesday and is in the principal’s conference room in  the Media Center.

Winter Sports Registration will close on October 30. The registration site is located on the CHS Athletic Webpage. All students who wish to tryout for a winter sport must register prior to October 30, have a current physical exam  and a concussion form on file with the Athletic Dept.. Additionally, students must pick up a “Ticket to Play” from Coach Ross during lunch in the Commons  the week of October 23-27.  Students must give the “Ticket” to the Coach in order to try out.  Also, Current Fall athletes must register and pick up a “Ticket”.

The Picture Day Make-ups / Retakes will be tomorrow, Tuesday, October 17th in the Gym.  Students who were not present on Picture Day should report to the Gym at the start of the following class periods.  Seniors should meet in the Gym by 12:00 for Senior Group Photo.

If you are interested in a life changing experience while helping others and testing your leadership skills then consider this year’s summer trip to Nicaragua. Learn more about this trip at “A” lunch meetings today and tomorrow in room D214. There will be a meeting for parents next Tuesday evening. This trip will fill up so register early or be left out! The National Honor Society WILL NOT meet today due to PSAT testing. WE WILL meet on the 18th.
