College Representative Visits for the week of October 17th:
Emory University          Thursday, October 20th at 10:45

All Jr's and Sr's that have received a recent  invitation  to join the Carrboro National Honors Society through their through their school e-mails,  MUST attend a MANDATORY info meeting and packet pick-up  today, THURSDAY the 20th at A lunch in D212.
Meeting is Mandatory...Application packets WILL NOT be given to those that miss the meeting.


Fall Captains will be collecting for the Hurricane Matthew Relief Fund during lunch today and Friday.  All money donated will go to the schools in Eastern North Carolina devastated by the hurricane. Please help those in need! 


There will be a Fall Captains meeting in the weight room after school today. Shirts will be given out.

There will be a meeting today during B lunch for all interested in the Peer Buddy program.  This program is designed to bring students together for support and friendship by promoting inclusion of all students.  If you are interested in the Peer Buddy program, you can get an application from Mr. Makor in E114.


Carrboro HS will host the Mid-State Volleyball Tournament on Tuesday Oct. 18 with semi-finals at 5pm and 7pm and Wed. Oct. 19 finals at 6pm.  Carrboro Jaguars will play at 7pm on Tuesday.  Admission is $5.00 and athletic passes cannot be used for this event. Support your Jaguars as they continue their journey into the playoffs.


Men's Soccer Senior Night is Oct. 19 at 6pm.


Jaguar Leadership Academy meeting with Fall Captains will be on Oct. 20 at 4pm in the weight room. Refreshments and shirts will be given out.

Introducing the CHCCS Olympics! This is an extremely exciting tournament between the three schools within the district, the first event is kickball on Saturday October 22. If you want to participate, we will be having trials for the selection of the team today, Friday during A-lunch. Two teams of twenty will be selected so bring your A game.

Volunteers are needed this afternoon starting at 3:15pm to help move books for Friends of Carrboro Library's annual book sale.  The event takes place in the cafetorium at McDougle Middle School.  If you can help, please e-mail Dolly Triantafillou atdolorest@bellsouth.net    Service Learning Hours are available.
