Student Announcements: May 8, 2019

Are You Ready for some Football??  If you are interested in playing Football for CHS next season, come on out and join the fun this spring, starting May 13th.  Practice will be from 4 - 6:30. If you have any questions, see Coach Lathan in Student Services.


Do you love animals?  Would you like to help out some furry friends in need?  Girl Scout Troop 41316 is conducting a supply drive for the Alamance County Humane Society and is requesting donations of dog and cat food/supplies.  If you would like to participate, please bring contributions to one of the collection boxes located in the main office or the library by Friday, May 17th.  Contact Paula Murray with any questions. Congrats to the Men's Tennis Team! We defeated First Flight yesterday 5-1. We will travel to NCSSM on Monday May 13 for the 3rd Round in Duals. Match time is 4pm at Whippoorwill Park in Durham. Third time's a charm!


Aidan Chung, Cal Baruch, John Blobe and Jake Twer will represent CHS in the NCHSAA State Individual Tennis Championship on Friday May 10 beginning at 9am at the Cary Tennis Center. Good Luck Jags!


Softball lost in the 1st Round to a tough South Columbus team 14-0 yesterday.  Our team had a great season despite the weather. Truly a fun team to watch! Congrats Coach Faircloth! This was the 1st time in school history that we hosted a state playoff game in Softball.


Congrats to the Women's Soccer team, we defeated a young Oak Grove team last night, 7-0. We will play at home Friday May 10 at 6pm vs East Duplin in the 2nd round of the State Playoffs.  Should be a good match!


Track will travel to Franklinton on Friday May 10 for the 2A Mideast Regionals.  Dismissal will be at 10:45am. Top four in the regional finals will advance to the State Meet. Good Luck Jags!
